Summer is here and the best ways to cool off are things like swimming, ice cream (one of my personal favourites), air conditioning, my hot tub, and more.
One thing that also happens in summer? Sometimes we can let our walk with God slip because "we're on vacation" so church attendance slips a little, personal quiet time slips a little, then suddenly we wonder why things are a little hectic or out of sorts. Why are the kids fighting? Why am I so edgy? It doesn't happen all at once, little by little when we let things slip they become big problems. Just because it is summer vacation, don't let your walk slip - remember, the Devil doesn't take a vacation from his attacks, so do as 1 Peter 5:8 says, Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
